I wrote the instrumental in a session with George (Catching Flies), resampling an improvised rhodes recording, and adding in various chopped samples of vinyl effects. I really wanted the track to keep building throughout, so I reached out to my old friend Ed Thomas for a vocal. Ed has written for Jorja Smith, Stormzy and Maverick Sabre, alongside his own musical projects so unsurprisingly came up with the vocal line and nailed it all in one session.
